Samuel and Louisa plus a number of other family members are buried in plot 119. During this year’s History Festival, the Walkerville Council are running tours for $2, May 18, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. It may be worth a visit. You will need to book here.
Samuel was buried on 1 December in Plot 119 at 8´6”, beneath where his son Baker Banks’ was later buried. No headstone survives.
On 26 March 1876, Samuel’s wife Louisa died (age 61) in Stepney, South Australia. She was buried in the same plot. No headstone survives.
The cemetery register states plot 119 is a ‘family grave allotment’ with nine interred persons:
